As earlier scheduled by “Concerned Nigerians”, protesters on Monday morning marched to the entrance of Aso Rock to request that President Muhammadu Buhari either come back to resume office or resign.
On Saturday, 5th of August, a coalition of civil society groups under the aegis of “Concerned Nigerians” pledged to hit the streets if president Buhari did not resume office after ninety (90) days.
President Mohammadu Buhari has been in London where he is receiving medical attention since May 7, 2017.
On Monday, the civil society groups marched in the heavy fall of rain carrying placards with different inscriptions – “Our ignorance must come to an end” “Buhari! Where are you?” “We are tired of being enslaved in our country” “Buhari called for impeachment when Yar’Adua was sick, now we are calling for the same”.
The protesters demand that the president should resign instead of holding the entire nation to ransom.
